lol, i didn't realize that it's been so long since i last posted on here

these past 2 months:

-went to Hong Kong for 12 days during the winter break and spent a lot more money than i should have... i met up a few times with my friend who went to japan to teach and we dorked it out at the Asia Game Show as Chikusa and Ken from Reborn 8D
-got back and wasted my week off before going back to school
-this term's courses... have so much work =A=;;
-working 3 days each week and it's pretty dead during my shifts so i can sit around and study
-... I've been reading a crapload of manga lately...

... and i think that pretty much sums up the past 2 months =A=;;
i'm on my reading break right now and unfortunately, i actually need to use this break for catching up and studying OTL
except tomorrow my friend's staying over to sweatshop since we need to prepare for Sakura Con at the end of March~
ahaha... i still have 3 costumes to make and i haven't started on any of them 8D

lol, one final done, 3 to go~~
yesterday, I woke up at 3:30pm and had work from 6-10pm (it was so dead in the store and there was no wireless for some odd reason so I had nothing to do but study…)
and when I got home, I ate dinner and tried to take a nap at about 12am before cramming… but I had too much caffeine while I was at work so I only fell asleep for an hour OTL
8D after that, I madly crammed until… right before the exam at 12pm

I was so braindead by then but my friends invited me over for a takoyaki party~~
We went and bought groceries and they made takoyaki and also ones with shrimp and with cheese
*drool* it was so nice and fresh and they tasted so good (lol, since my friend used to make them at work)
=A=;; I think we bought a bit too much stuff though cuz we ended up having over 10 each… so filling….
lol, but we still ended up having dessert afterwards

ahaha… and now I think I’ll go into my long awaited coma…
thank goodness my next exam isn’t til the 10th~

=A=;; what the hell, the last time i updated this was in september...?!

ahaha.. then again, it's not like a lot of stuff happens in my life anyway OTL
my days have been filled with falling asleep in class, reading manga (... a lot of manga...), cramming (due to procrastination), work, and sweatshopping 8D

lol, on Friday night/Saturday morning, I got 3 hours of sleep cuz I was rushing to finish something for a photoshoot on Saturday afternoon
me and my friend were both stupid and didn't start working on our stuff til 2am so we were both kinda half dead when we met up
we went to the Asian Studies Centre at school and our other friend took pics for us
OTL despite wearing 3 layers, it was sooooo cold... i wore a long sleeve t-shirt + tights, a nagajuban (inner kimono), and a kimono~
hur hur hur... we did Rurouni Kenshin~
it was actually supposed to be our Hallowe'en costume and we finished most of it in October but my friend twisted her ankle and couldn't go out that week (hahaha, so I ended up sweatshopping Aegis from Persona3 in 3 school nights to join my other friend's group for Hallowe'en)

8D next costumes to sweatshop will be for Asia Game Show 2007 in Hong Kong
I'm meeting up with my friend who went Japan to teach English and we decided that we should dress from a game
lol, so we were gross fujoshi and decided that we should do Togainu no Chi (me as Akira and her as Rin)
argh... but I'll need to wait til after my finals... luckily I'll have 4 days to sweatshop before I go OTL

so what did I do during the first week of school??
I missed 2 days of class and got 2 of my wisdom teeth ripped out OTL

*rolls around on the floor* I'm not used to having 5 days of school...
T___T i miss the 4 day weekends that I had in 2nd term last year
but that's ok, I'll only have Tuesdays and Thursdays in 2nd term~
my classes this term don't seem *too* bad... some of them are kinda boring, i need to participate in one of them, and there's only 15 ppl in one of my classes (which means i can't fall asleep...), but I think I'll survive this term 8D

as for my wisdom teeth experience...
it was actually pretty good XD
I got 2 out on the same side and a filling done since my face was already numb
lol, after getting them pulled (... at 8:30am..), I walked to the grocery store and bought a bag of frozen corn kernels and held it on my face on the bus ride home to prevent it from swelling
luckily, my face didn't swell at all and it didn't hurt that much even after the numbing stuff wore off
i was even able to eat solid food for lunch and I went out for italian food at night since it was my parents' wedding anniversary (mmm.... antipasti and penne with gorgonzola cream~~)
I just have one more wisdom tooth to take out (since my body's retarded and decided to grow 3 of them... why couldn't it just not grow them at all?!) but I guess I'm not as nervous now~~

lol, so in the end, I finished the commissions on time~
8D from the Wednesday before the con until Sunday (day 3), I got 14 hours of sleep in total
it would've been so much easier if I didn't have work that week, but I felt bad since I already took so much time off from work this summer
the actual con was... boring =A=;;
but the good part was that a lot of my friends had tables in artist alley, so I hung out with them there when I wasn't out for photoshoots

as for cosplay...
I had to drop Hanakimi with Amanda cuz I had no time to sew it (ughhh... but I had *all* the materials already...)
but my schedule was...

Friday: Jilleena [Immortal Rain]; Dino [Reborn]
Saturday: Ken [Reborn]
Sunday: Matt [Digimon: Season 1]; Atobe [Prince of Tennis: Hyoutei]

lol, in the past 6 years, Jilleena was my 2nd time cosplaying as a girl XD
for Dino, my friend actually tattooed my whole left arm with Sharpies. It looked so cool, I really didn't wanna ~~wash~~ scrub it off that night but I had to ;____;
after the con on Saturday, I stayed over at my friend's house along with another friend... and we sweatshopped their Digimon costumes OTL
and I was stupid and forgot to bring along my blue contacts for my Digimon cos
hahaha, for Digimon, we got stopped so many times for pics since we had almost all of the characters from the first season
T____T we were too dead to sew our actual digimon though... but we'll probably make them for future photoshoots
after the Digimon meet-up/photoshoot at 12:30pm, 3 of us rushed to get changed into PoT since that meet-up was scheduled for the same time
PoT was such a last minute decision though, so I borrowed my friend's wig, Hyoutei jersey, shorts, runners, and even socks =A=;;
actually, 2 of us hadn't even decided on who should do Oshitari and Atobe.. and after my friend put on the Atobe stuff, we decided that it didn't look right so we switched at the last minute
so we had a Jirou, Oshitari, Atobe, and we found a Gakuto and dragged her to the SFU tennis courts for a photoshoot
I actually left pretty early that day cuz I was so dead... and I had to go home and change into normal clothes to go out for my sister's birthday dinner (lol, I changed back into Matt before leaving the con since it's more normal than... PoT...)

so today, a bunch of my friends went all the way to West Vancouver to visit me at work XD
hahaha, and the manager was there when they came in... but luckily, they looked normal when they came in OTL
everybody brought stuff to change into for Reborn~~~ there was Tsuna, Gokudera, Yamamoto, and Hibari and one of my friends didn't dress up
I couldn't sit around with them though cuz all these take-out orders came in and I was the only person working.. and then I had to clean everything since I was closing the store (luckily we close at 6pm on Sundays...)
so after I was done everything, I went to the washroom and changed into Dino... suit version~~
fufufufu~ and I had a Hibari to take lots of pics with 8D
we ended up going to Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner since we were dorks and wanted something somewhat Italian
I changed out of Dino in the washroom since my friend needed my measurements for something I'm getting commissioned... and even though I only bound my chest for a few hours, my ribs were making cracking sounds when I undid the bindings =A=;;
lol, even after changing, I kept on wearing the suit jacket since it was a bit chilly outside
and then my friends all said I looked like a host (I put on my black tux shirt I wore for work today)... so we ended up being gross and took pics around Gastown XD
good thing it was a Sunday night.. or else we would've scared more ppl with our gross fangirling~

I should've just brought my stuff to sew at work tonight since it was so dead
on the bright side, I'm actually done my own costumes 8D
which is stupid since I should've worked on my commissions first OTL
dammit, and I have work tomorrow...
good thing I had a triple tall shot latte before leaving work tonight... and I'll probably have more espresso when I leave work tomorrow

=A=;; crap, only 10 days until Anime Evolution...
3 commissions and 4 costumes for myself... and none of them are finished *dies*

lol, I'm so tempted to bring stuff to hand sew at work since it's so dead all the time, but when I think about it, it's so much faster to do by machine at home

oh yeah, last week I ended up going to watch the fireworks with my friends
I booked the whole day off from work so me and my other friend went early to clean up her apartment since it's always so... FILTHY (it's such a beautiful apartment building in downtown but she has 3 cats and never cleans anything...)
after we cleaned, my other friends came and we all wore yukata and did up our hair with flowers
lol, we bought flowers from Daiso a few days prior to match the colour of the yukata we'd wear (I wore a red yukata so I bought red roses~)
we went out for dinner and headed out to English Bay
there were actually quite a few Japanese girls and guys wearing yukata
hahaha, it was so funny... my friend is half Japanese and she said that on our way to the beach, some Japanese ppl were talking and said, 'Awww~ it's so cute that they're all wearing yukata... but there's a GAIJIN (foreigner) too'
which was so ironic since technically she and my other friend were the only Japanese ppl and the rest of us were gaijin (chinese...)
XD and all the yukata belonged to her and she dressed up all of us

the actual fireworks weren't *that* spectacular but pretty nice, I guess (it was Canada that night.. wish i got to see China instead..)
after watching, we had bubble tea and we bumped into another friend in there
then we headed back to my friend's apartment since we were all planning on staying over
the day before, I bought a fresh fruit cheesecake from work since it was my friend's birthday the next day so we ate that and played with sparklers on the balcony
ohohohoho~ then the best part: we were playing BL and Prince of Tennis dating sim games on ps2 with a huge plasma tv
since there was such a huge screen, we were being gross fangirls and went to the CGs in the PoT games and took pics posing next to the guys 8D

we also rented a japanese horror movie from a japanese convenience store nearby and watched that until 6am
hahaha, and even though it was really crappy, I still kinda got freaked out =A=;;
almost everybody fell asleep after the movie but i stayed awake since I knew that if I fell asleep, I'd miss work at 1pm
:3 but my friend stayed up with me and we watched clips of Prince of Tennis Musical on the computer and stared at pics of the actors... and acted like gross fangirls XD
lol, turned out that all of my friends set their alarms for 11am so that they could send me off to work

it was so freakin' dead at work that day
and I think it was because of this that I started to get freaked out by that horror movie
cuz I was working alone (no baker or dishwasher on Sundays) and nobody really comes to the store on that day so I kinda jumped everytime I heard some sort of noise =A=;;

whee~ i just got back from Hong Kong this morning XD
some stupid girl little girl kept on kicking my chair on the plane though so I didn't get to sleep much
=A=;; I should've listend to my mom when she told me to just turn around and tell her mom to stop her

anyway...
the trip was pretty good even though it was friggen hot
we ended up going to Taiwan on a tour for 4 days and it was 36 degrees (wtf, that's almost body temperature...)
all in all, I ate too much food and spent way too much money (hahaha, on things that my mom considers useless...)
I was able to meet up with some of my friends a few times, though it was so annoying that I didn't have a cell phone to use
I was planning on buying one but didn't see one that I really wanted... so I'll probably get one when I go again in the winter 8D

sadly enough, one of my highlights of the whole trip was buying matching men's suits with my friend (lol, I think our level of freakiness has gone up another level)
when we went, the ppl asked us if we were buying them for our boyfriends or something and we answered, 'actually... they're for us XD'
they were kinda surprised but were really nice and helpful
the quality is pretty good and they were so cheap even with alterations made on the same day - $40 CAD for jacket and pants... lol we got a student discount cuz we showed them our UBC cards
hahaha, and I'm gonna wear it to my friends' photoshoot tomorrow at UBC
XD I'll be doing the suit version of Dino... and maybe Ken *dork*

ugh... and now it's time to finish my online assignment....

ps. chibizoo, I don't have work until this Friday, so phone me if you wanna go out sometime during the week~~

I'll be leaving for the airport in about 12 hours
within the next 12 hours, I must....
-finish my readings for MUSC 103 (haha, I haven't even started yet)
-do the assignment and submit it
-pack (I haven't started on this yet either...)

.. and I'm sure there's a few more things to do, but I think those 3 will take up most of the next 12 hours =A=;;
I'm gonna do my usual stay-up-all-night-so-I-can-pass-out-on-the-plane thing
8D cuz there's nothing better than closing your eyes and then opening them again to realize that you've already arrived after a 14 hour flight

haha, since I had no time to this week, my goal is to hand sew (there's no sewing machine *cry*) a full costume during my stay in HK
just watch me break down and get something commissioned though....

anyway, I better get started on reading... cuz I wanna have some spare time... to rewatch a bit of RomeoxJuliet XD

yay~~ my mom and sis got back from their 2 week Mediterranean cruise yesterday night~~
8D and they bought me a real cameo brooch by Giovanni Apa from Italy <333

ugh... i'm so tired right now...
i'm supposed to be cramming for my chem final for Friday
luckily, i can probably study for a while at work tomorrow since business is kinda slow on weekdays
haha, and i can have all the free caffeine i want when i'm working

even though I'm supposed to be studying... I'm downloading Romeo x Juliet ep 11 raw right now 8D
and I checked the screencaps and summary for it... such an awesome episode *drools*
I also downloaded the ending single by 12012 (lol, I didn't even know that they were a visual kei band, so that was a nice surprise)
omg, one of the cd scans: suits and loose ties/shirts.... 萌えええええええ~~~~~~

ahh... only 10 more days until I go to Hong Kong :3
I can't wait to see my grandma and meet up with my friends there~

yay, finally done exams~~
the one I wrote tonight actually wasn't that bad even though I crammed quite a bit for it
I ended up finishing it in an hour and that's cuz I was taking my time (some ppl left within 45 minutes)

lol, after my exam on Monday, I read 11 volumes of Katekyo Hitman REBORN!
I haven't been reading as much shounen stuff lately, but it was so awesome~
ahaha... and my cos list for this summer just gets bigger and bigger =A=;;
oh well, I have plenty of time to sew :3
finally, I'll be able to spend some time with my 2nd husband
.. but I think I should spend more time with my 1st husband too +____+

lol, after.. err.. years.. i finally changed my icon XD
why? cuz Romeo x Juliet is LOVE~~
the art's so nice and they're so cute
i kinda want them to follow some aspects the play, but... but.. I don't wanna see them die ;_____;
hahaha, i'll probably get my friends to cosplay from it in the summer since the costumes aren't super hard to make~

Eventhough I have exams on Monday and Thursday, I went out with my otoku buddies all day (lol, otoku = otome + otaku)
=____= my mom actually forgot to wake me up this morning but somehow I woke up on my own without any alarms
I bused out to Richmond where my friend picked me up to go to Steveston to walk around before our other friends got off of school and work
mmm.. and for dinner, we went for Japanese yakiniku at a place where my friend works... so yummy~~
when we went over to my friend's place, we were going through her pile of costumes and I wore her Seigaku jersey... cuz I'm a dork 8D
ooohh.. and I finally got my Ouran blazer from her. Maybe I'll post up some pics after exams are over
afterwards, we spent most of the time browsing Cure and drooling at all the hot layers~

... speaking of which... I should probably cram for a bit before sleeping =____=

I have my first final tomorrow and I just don't feel any test anxiety
I remember some teacher in highschool saying that it's bad to have too much test anxiety but you still need some of it to push you
makes sense cuz right now, I don't feel any pressure to study =____=
lol, I'll probably go into cramming mode later tonight though
but even then, I'll still end up procrastinating for a while
I guess I don't feel the pressure cuz I'm not depending on these courses (or even degree) for my future career
I don't care about my GPA, so as long as I pass everything, it's all good~~

Oh yeah, ever since I got back from SakuraCon, my procrastination time has been taken up by Prince of Tennis
in 3 days, I ended up youtubing 35 episodes +____+
I slowed down a bit over the last few days though so I'm at ep 50 now
haha, just another 120 something eps to go
ahhh... I really should've started watching this after finals :P

I'm feeling kinda tired and lazy, so I'll write everything in point form XD
and I'll cut it so it won't kill friends pages

Wednesday night
-after my chem lab exam, I went home and ended up falling asleep
-woke up at 10pm and ate dinner... then procrastinated for a bit before packing
-packing took me 3 times longer than it should have cuz we're in the middle of installing hardwood floors upstairs so everything is misplaced... so it took me about an hour (lol, I even made a checklist in Excel a few days earlier since my mom always does that before we go on trips)

Thursday
-I was sewing non-stop from about 12am-5:30am and then I finally cracked =___=
-Kurogane was 60% done and I needed to leave the house by 7:15am so I had to leave it and let down my Tsubasa group (but our Fye was sick and couldn't go anyway so we'll probably wait til summer to do a full photoshoot)
-left the house at 7:15am and my mom drove me to the sea bus. I took the skytrain and then walked about a block to the Pacific Central Station to take the Greyhound
-my 2 friends were heading there from Richmond and were there earlier than me ^^;; then we checked in our luggage and hopped onto the bus
-hahaha, it was at this time that our theme for the trip started: Bacon Lettuce (lol, you'll understand if you're a 腐女子 aka. fujoshi)
-since me and one of my friends were sleep deprived from writing papers and sewing, we pretty much died as soon as we sat down in the bus
-it was funny going through customs cuz we were talking to the officer there and he said that a lot of con ppl already went through and we told him that there'd be a ton more during the day
-died again on the bus and when we were about to get off, me and my friend finally noticed that there were a lot more ppl on the bus (we were so dead that we didn't even notice that we stopped and picked up more ppl on the way)
-when we got to our hotel, we found out that we couldn't check into our rooms until our other friends came along cuz they were under their names so we checked in our luggage and went shopping~~
-didn't find much for myself, but my friends got some stuff and we ended up eating McDonalds cuz we were hungry and tired of walking
-our friends that drove to Seattle finally arrived so we checked in and rested up for a bit before going to pre-reg
-after pre-reg, we walked around for a bit and headed back to the hotel and ate cup ramen (we had such a huge drawer of snacks, mostly from Konbiniya XD) and tried on our costumes for absolutly no reason
-phoned home from a really cute red phone booth inside the hotel
-some of our other friends also came down to our room so we hung out in our room until almost 2am
-after everybody left, we ironed our costumes and got ready for bed

Friday
-we woke up at around 10am and slowly got ready. We were planning on heading out by 11:15... but that didn't happen XD
-headed to the convention center at about 12:30pm and bought some pizza since we were too lazy to look around more for food (expensive since it was in the convention centre though, $4 USD/slice *shakes head*)
-oh yeah, I was dressed as Radu (had to borrow my friend's blue Oshitari wig) and my friend was dressed as Ion (both Trinity Blood) and a few of my other friends were doing HunterxHunter (Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Kuroro)
-the Trinity Blood photoshoot was at 3pm, but it was kinda sad since it was the 2 of us plus another 2 girls doing different versions of Seth. There were actually a few more ppl doing TB, but we saw them while we were walking around later on
-went to the dealers room but didn't buy anything cuz I can just get my friends to get things for cheaper in Japan
-watched the A-Key-Kyo concert. Damn, the Kanda cosplayer in the band was so hot, her waist was so thin and toned when she changed costumes. And she was really tall too. *____* MOE~~~~
-headed back to the hotel and ate dinner (cup ramen again) and rest up a bit before changing to go to the dance
-the dance at the con was kinda sad since they just played rave music and it reminded me of a highschool dance
-hung around for a bit and then went to the Cheesecake Factory for take-out since it was right across from the convention centre. I got a white chocolate caramel macadamia nut cheesecake, so yummy~~~
-headed back to the hotel to eat the cheesecake. Mine was really yummy, but by the end, there was just way too much caramel so I ended up tossing the last bit since it was getting sickening XP
-oh yeah, during all the times we were in the hotel room, we kept on listening to TeniMyu (Prince of Tennis Musical) music since it was on my friend's ipod and she brought speakers. lol, by the end of the trip, I think I got really used to listening to it even though I'm not really in to PoT (...yet...)
-we all helped in sewing the finishing detail of my friend's Sakura Hime costume since she had so many papers to do before going to the con
-I think we ended up falling asleep at 3:30am even though we had to get up early for the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles photoshoot at 10am

Saturday
-waking up for the shoot didn't happen =___=
-I was gonna be Kurogane, but since my costume wasn't finished on time, I just dressed in my classical lolita clothes since they're quite comfortable (wore a curly wig though cuz my hair was an absolute mess in the morning)
-my friends did Sakura, Syaoran, Tomoyo Hime, Yuuko-san, and Watanuki for the TRC shoot. They even brought a giant Mokona plushie with them :3
-since we missed the shoot, we just went off on our own to do a photoshoot since there were some really pretty places around the convention centre
-... and I can't really remember what else we did during the day so I'll just skip along to the evening...
-we went to the con after dinner again and I borrowed my friend's Air Gear costume (Rika) cuz it was more comfortable than my other clothes. Her skirt was way too short for me though so I wore my own... lol, so basically, I just looked like a really plain school girl since it was a sailor-fuku shirt
-on our way there, some Japanese people were walking behind us and were talking about us since they thought that none of us understood Japanese. I could understand the gist of what they were saying, but all of my friends can speak Japanese fluently so they turned around and said something back at them XD it was so funny~~
-it was messed up, a lot more ppl asked for my picture when I was dressed in my friend's clothes than when I was dressed in Radu. One lady asked for my picture and then asked if she could use it on her website and on the opening ceremony presentation for the Sacramento Anime Convention. Wtf?! It wasn't even my own costume... and it turned out that she was the director of programming of that con =____=
-walked around for a bit and went to a really, really lame shounen-ai support group panel. I expected it to be much better, but it was so boring so we left
-when we got back to the hotel room, we ended up watching some TeniMyu videos on my friend's ipod and we launched into a huge Bacon Lettuce conversation. Ohohohohoho~ it was so awesome. We must've disturbed other rooms around our room though XD Who needs a shounen-ai support group when you have fellow 腐女子?
-lol, we also played a bit of Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side on my friend's DS. They had to translate for me though since I can't understand *cries*

Sunday
-the Prince of Tennis shoot was at 10am so we had to wake up quite early. My friends went as Oshitari, Gakuto, and Jirou from Hyoutei
-I was going as Naru from Ghost Hunt (had to borrow the Watanuki wig from my friend) since my other non-roomie friend was doing Mai. She asked me if I could be Naru about a week before the con and sent me the manga to read... which freaked me out since I'm bad with horror things
-at the TeniPuri shoot, I was the bag holder and photographer since I wasn't meeting my other friend until 12pm. Hahaha, even though I'm not really into TeniPuri, some of those pictures made me moe~~
-went to the dealers room againt to buy an omiage for Amanda. I ended up buying her a Gundam Wing doujinshi since she can get most other things when she goes to Japan after exams end
-met up with my friend dressed as Mai and we went around and had a photoshoot. We met up with my other friend so she did a photoshoot for us too so that we could get couple shots
-by the time I met up with my roomies again, it was time to head to the Greyhound station
-the ppl at the hotel were really slow at retrieving our luggage that we checked in since we checked out of our room before we went to the convention centre
-we didn't get to sit together on the way back, but that was ok since I fell asleep as soon as I hit the seat
-since the Greyhound follows the commercial line for customs, it didn't take very long (though I heard the normal line was about 3 hours long) and we arrived at Pacific Central Sation on time
-my sister and her bf picked me up from the station so I bid farewell to my wonderful 腐女子 friends~
-came home and got changed cuz my aunt's family came over for Easter dinner
-I didn't eat as much as I wanted to cuz my stomach shrank from my screwed up eating habits XD lol, and when my mom hugged me when I got home, she said I lost weight. Makes sense though cuz we didn't eat that much and we were constantly walking everyday
-after dinner, I showed my aunt and cousin my 2nd husband~~
-my aunt and cousin sew a lot and my aunt said that she can make a pattern block for me XD that's so awesome cuz it always takes me forever to do patterns for clothes and costumes
-even during dinner, I was so sleepy, so after my aunt's family left, I went online for a little bit and then plopped into bed for 12 hours~

and that's about it for SakuraCon 2007~~
I'm so incredibly happy that I was able to go and that I had such wonderful ppl to spend time with X3

X3 I got back tonight from SakuraCon and had the smell of Easter dinner welcome me as I walked through the door~~
I didn't eat as much as I wanted to though cuz my eating patterns for the whole weekend were kinda screwed up
lol, and when my mom hugged me when I got back, she said I lost weight
probably from the screwed up eating and the fact that we were constantly walking for the whole day
anyway, I'm tired as hell, so I'll write a SakuraCon report tomorrow~~~

holy crap, less than 48 hours until the Greyhound leaves and I still have a crapload of stuff to finish T____T

on Sunday and Monday, I managed to get my paper up to 90% done and Kurogane inched up to 30% done
I'll be writing the rest of my paper during my breaks today so that when I get home I can sew like mad
haha, and I'll be skipping my 3:30-6:30 lecture since I already submitted my paper for that class
and tomorrow there's only a short lab exam so I'll be home quite early to sew
ugh... i hope that's enough time to finish it without it looking too ghetto...
dammit, and I still need to pack my stuff...

sadly enough, I'm actually looking forward to exam time cuz I'll probably be less stressed and have more sleep than right now =____=

SakuraCon is in 5 days and I have so much crap to finish...

for the Trinity Blood group, some of my friends weren't able to get the polyurethane molding to work so we decided to postpone this til summer when we have more time to work on them
haha, by that time, I was already 60% done Dietrich and my other friend was done her Ion costume, so I decided to switch to Radu cuz I was so sick of working on Dietrich
it took a while, but I managed to finish the arabic version of Radu in a week.. it would have taken less time, but I had a term paper due within that week
apologies to sinistera, I'm afraid you'll hafta wait til summer for the group pics ^^;;

and now I must work on Kurogane.... and another term paper that's due the day before I leave for Seattle *dies*
Kurogane is about 20% done and my term paper is... 0% done....
err... maybe I should work on the paper first T____T

ugh... I feel so old...
my birthday was on the 28th and... I'm no longer a teenager @____@
maybe that's a good thing, but I'll be stuttering for the next while when ppl ask me how old i am

My birthday started with rushing to finish my FNH assignment to submit online, so I was up until 6am
lol, when I checked my phone before sleeping, I realized that my friend texted me 6 hours earlier but I forgot to check my phone
I had to wake up to take the bus at 9:50 for my piano lesson at 10, and I actually slept through all my alarms but woke up to my cell phone ringing
my mom phoned me to see if I was up yet (... which I was definitely not..) and told me it was already 9:40
so I jumped out of bed, ran to the washroom and got dressed, grabbed my bag, sprinted to the bus stop and caught the bus... then realized that I hadn't even brushed my hair or anything...
after my lesson, I went to Dressew to buy some cosplay materials and headed to school for my 3 hour chem lab +___+

For dinner, my family went to Carmello's for Italian food in West Vancouver
we had the antipasti plate, mussels, salmon linguine, clam linguine, and pesto linguine... and my family told me to order a drink so I had a nice glass of cabernet shiraz~
by the end of dinner I was so sleepy from being full, the wine, and lack of sleep for the past 2 days
when we got home, I wanted to drop dead but there was still cake~~
I made a chocolate brownie and strawberry ice cream cake
lol, when I told my mom that I wanted to bake my own cake for my bday, she was like "... that's so sad =____= "
and before we had cake, the doorbell rang and it was my aunt and cousin XD
omg, and they bought a cake for me too @____@
it had a dense chocolate orange mouse on hazelnut cake and a layer of raspberries inside... so yummy *____*

ohohohoho~ and my presents were so awesome XD
my sis bought me a giant tea pot with a built in strainer (cuz I only drink loose leaf teas now) and a Webkinz stuffed animal
it's the orange and white alley cat, but I still need to register it online so I can play with it (... it's ironic that I got this for my 20th birthday...)
and my cousin got me a really cute make up set~~

and the best present.... a brand new sewing machine from my parents~!!!
it's a Husqvarna Platinum 715 Royal Edition
made in Sweden and it's computerized *drools*
I think it's originally $1500 but it was on sale for $1200
before buying it, my mom was asking me if I'd want a sewing machine or a cello for my birthday
my dad thought I'd want a cello since I'm planning on learning it after I'm done with my piano exam, but I was already planning on selling my drum set for that XD
I really need to start learning all the new functions of this sewing machine cuz I need to start sewing my costumes for SakuraCon really soon >___<
from now on, I'll be referring to it as my 2nd husband (lol, my 1st husband is my grand piano~)

this is the cake that my aunt got for me... so pretty~~~ it looks small in this pic, but it was really huge... maybe about 10 x 10 inches (lol, for those who don't know... yes, my name is Stephanie XD)

and here's my cake~ it looks like a cheesecake, but it has 3 layers of brownie with strawberry ice cream sandwiched between and covering it. If ever make it again, I think I'd put in a strawberry puree layer too...

present from my sister~~ the Webkinz kitty is kinda cool cuz it looks like the cat on the mug that her bf gave to me a few months ago. She didn't even realize it until I told her though...

from my cousin~ it's so adorable!! And there's a mirror and trays of make up inside

And here is my 2nd husband~~~ I look forward to the day random people compliment on something I'm wearing, and I can smile and answer, "Thanks! My 2nd husband made it for me!" just to screw around with their heads XD It'll be fun cuz ppl still ask me what grade I'm in and are surprised when I say I'm already in 2nd year university~

after my aunt and cousin left, I baked some mini brownie cupcakes to bring to school for my friends since I didn't have time to bring something on my bday
I was planning on baking a cake, but decided not to cuz it'd be annoying to carry around with me at school
XD I somehow caught Sally as she passed by the sub to catch the bus so I gave her some brownies and she said she'll buy me ice cream after we're done our finals
I got some more things from my friend and my sister's bf, but I'm too tired to take pics right now
fufufu~ and Amanada said that her present for me still hasn't arrived in the mail yet, but I'm excited to see what it is~~~

so all in all, even though I'm old and whatever, I had a really great birthday this year XD

XD HELL YEAH~
my mom's gonna let me go to SakuraCon in Seattle in April~!!!

lol, Feb 28th is the cut-off date for cheaper pre-reg so I asked my mom about it about 11pm
and then I got a bit of a lecture-ish thing about what I should change about my behaviour the the way I act at home since I'd be turning.. err... old in an hour...
but after that my mom said I could register~~
and since my friends booked the hotel rooms through the SakuraCon site, we were able to pay on par in Canadian dollars
I'm so glad that the con is April 6-8 cuz it's right after all my assignments, essays, and labs are done and my exams don't start til the 19th

haha, as for cosplay...
ugh... I still haven't started to sew...
if I knew earlier that I'd be going for sure, I would have started sewing ages ago
but my plans will be...

I have the feeling that I'm gonna die while sewing this one too... my friends pulled me into their Tsubasa group at the last minute, but I don't mind, seems kinda fun to sew and I love Kurogane anyway~

-the rest of the time will either be classical, gothic, or casual lolita since they're comfortable to move around in so I can help my friends with their photoshoots :3

Valentines Day/S.A.D.

My Valentines Day was spent cramming in the library and recrystallizing something in a chem lab :D
haha, and then I went home, ate dinner, napped, and crammed until 6:30am for my 2 midterms today
mmm... dinner was good though since my sister's bf came over and she cooked a lot of food for all of us: potato soup, crab and shrimp on an avacado half, roasted potato with wilted spinach, gougeres (cheese puff things which I ended up making cuz she was busy), grilled shrimp, and steak
her bf made dessert: chocolate, banana, caramel, peanut butter wrapped in wonton wrappers. My sis fried them so when we ate them they were all warm and gooey <3

oh yeah, and I made truffles again this year~~

The more normal flavour: Mint Truffle. It was actually kinda annoying cuz the mint extract wasn't very strong and I had to use a lot, so I ended up adding more unmelted chocolate cuz I was worried that it wouldn't set properly...

A little more interesting: Peach and Apricot Honeybush Tea Infused Truffle. I'm actually pretty happy with how this one turned out. There's a subtle fruitty and slightyly floral taste after the initial strong chocolate taste...

It was actually the first time I tempered chocolate for the coating XD
Not too difficult, but I think I'll buy a more accurate candy thermometer for next time

and since I had a lot of left over chocolate from the coating, I covered some apples that were sitting around in fruit bowl. There's plain chocolate, chocolate covered in white chocolate bits, and chocolate with toasted almond...

haha, and this isn't from valentines, but I forgot I had this and just felt like posting it. It was from when my cousin had his second wedding banquet in Hong Kong for our relatives during the winter break... and it was just laying around so I grabbed it and took pictures XD

I brought the truffles to school on Tuesday though cuz I see most of my friends on Tuesdays and Thursdays (also brought a few on Wednesday for ppl I missed)
and I was somehow able to catch Sally when she was passing the sub on the way to the bus loop (I was cramming like in there during lunch) so I gave her some :3
I think I've had enough chocolate for the rest of the month though
I usually get sick feeling from sweet chocolate pretty quickly which is why I've been eating Lindt's Noirissme 99% cocoa chocolate lately
it tasted kinda odd at first cuz it's so bitter, but I love is so much now~

Ohohohoho~ and now I'm on my reading break, so I'm just gonna laze around since I only have 1 easy midterm after the break XD

:3 my family went out for Dine Out Vancouver last night~
we went to Tantra Waterfront Lounge and Grill and eventhough it was one of the $15 places, it was still pretty good
my mom made reservations for another place for next Saturday but I'm gonna miss it cuz it's my friends' birthday
;____; which means I only got to go to one place this year...
oh well, we went to 3 last year (Feenie's, Aqua Riva, and Tantra) so I guess it evens out... kinda =3=

I was so tired after dinner cuz I was out with my friends the whole day
we were gonna go shopping on Main St. but decided to stay in downtown since I had to get back to The Quay for dinner
lol, so we went and had a picnic lunch~~
while we were eating, there was this weird lady street performer nearby
I guess she was somewhat entertaining but she seemed to talk too much and I got bored while waiting for her to do the tricks and whatever
quite a few ppl stopped by and watched though
after we finished eating, we shopped around downtown for a while
T____T then I had to leave before our usual eating adventures cuz I had to get back for dinner with my family

First week back at school~~

whee~ I'm already done my first week of school X3
it feels so nice only having 3 days of school on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
now every weekend will be a 4 day weekend XD
I still have 5 courses though...

as for my classes...
on the first day, I actually fell asleep during the 3 hour family studies lecture +____+
but it's the intro course to the other 2 family studies courses i took last term (couldn't fit it in my first term) so I already know most of the material
I think I might end up doing a family studies minor since it's in my restricted electives for 3rd and 4th year for my program.... and it's relatively easy XD
other classes i had were agsci statistics, chem lab, and food, nutrition, and health... in which i fell asleep today cuz it was a 3 hour lecture
and last night i checked my requirements for my program and they changed it so that i don't need to take STAT 200
i was planning on taking it in summer school, but i guess i don't need to now~~
so glad i didn't take it in 1st term or else i'd be so pissed off at the faculty
the other course I'm taking is online, so that's why i'm able to only have 3 days of school :3

I think this term I'll finally keep up with the work load since I have a bit more time... and they're easier than last term's courses~

Happy New Year~~~

:3 I just got back from Hong Kong yesterday morning~
I had no internet while I was there so it'll take me a while to get through my f-list
I miss the HK weather though, it's so cold here T____T

lol, this time when we went, we ended up doing a lot of tourist stuff since my sis's bf came along with us and he's never been there before
we went up to The Peak, saw the big Buddha, rode on the new Ngong Ping 360 cable cars, spent an afternoon in the museum, went to Macau for a day, and of course, shopped~
only thing we didn't have time for was having high tea at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel...
but that's ok, we went for the afternoon tea buffet at the Grand Hyatt and lunch buffet at the Shangri-la
=___= my mom actually made reservations for them before we even left Vancouver

I wish exams had ended earlier so that we could have been there a little longer
didn't have enough time to shop =3=
and I only had time to meet up with one of my friends while we were there
we went out on the 25th and had a "Nodame Christmas" XD btw, anybody who hasn't watched Nodame Cantabile, watch it~!! Chiaki-sempai <333

anyway, hope everybody had a good Christmas and New Year~~
lol, i was planning on going to Amanda's party last night but bailed out on her and slept instead +_____+
I think my sleeping schedule's gonna stay messed up for a while now *shrugs*

T____T why is it so cold?!
and I almost fell a few times on the way to class
it was -7 degrees when me and Amanda got off school yesterday at 6pm and with the wind-chill, it was supposed to feel like -14 degrees
haha, despite that, we went to Chapters afterwards and read vol 10 of Hot Gimmick XD

despite it being so damn cold... it was actually really beautiful at school. It was even snowing when I got there in the morning, but I was too cold to take my camera out~

I wanted to kick some of the trees to see the snow fall off... then I realized that it was probably so cold that they would just crack and fall on me (there's already a bunch of tree branches on the ground that randomly fell off)

I ended up wearing 5 layers of clothing: tank top, long sleeve shirt, fleece zip-up, zip-up hoodie, and a heavy wool duffle coat. And along with that a toque, scarf, leather gloves, 2 pairs of socks, and leather boots~~
I was lame today and skipped class since I just had lectures
and tomorrow I'm coming back home after my piano lesson since agsci already ended yesterday after our presentations

haha, it's been a while since I last updated...
almost a month~

so what have I been up to?
procrastinating XD
lots of it~
ever since midterms ended, I've barely been doing any work

and recently, I've been going on a shoujo manga binge
as long as the art's pretty and there's a direct download, I'll read it X3

or maybe it'll be like last year when i suddenly felt depressed while writing an exam cuz i remembered a sad part of a series i was reading in between biology chapters *dork*
